Drayton Valley & District Agricultural Society

3-6 pm March-December

Evergreen Farmers' Market

Looking for things to do in Drayton Valley? The Drayton Valley Farmers' Market has been a local community favourite for 45 years. It was the first offering of the Drayton Valley & District Agricultural Society and is still the largest annual venture the society undertakes each year. The regular home of the Farmers Market office will be 5015 Industrial Rd. Market takes place Wednesdays from March through December. Our Septem-beer-fest event will be the last weekend in September and is the biggest and best one Drayton Valley has each year with over 100 Alberta crafters and food producers.

For more information about the market visit our MARKET webpage, www.dvfarmersmarket.ca

Fall Ag Fair & Bench Show

The Bench Show has also been part of the Ag Society annual events since the beginning. A Bench Show awards excellence in the Make it, Bake it, Sew it & Grow it categories. Art, photography, fruit, vegetables, baking, preserves, sewing, knitting, quilting, woodwork, hobbies and more are all part of a fair event. Some add animals and games and people sometimes confuse a midway with an AG Fair.

Contact us if you have an e-mail, and we will send you an e-copy of the book for your review. Cash awards are sponsored by community and ribbons are sponsored by the Ag Society.

Adam Eckert was chosen as Best of Show for his Celtic Spoon carving. He was presented with a stained glass window in 2016.

Susan Schwindt was the 2017 best of show winner for her quilt project.

2018 was Rosanne Pfannmuller with her quilt project.

2019 Best of Show award went to Rosanne Pfannmuller again this year,

Grand Aggregate and Family Aggregate went to Kathol family, Junior Aggregate was Adelin Jones. The Bench Show was Cancelled in 2020.
