Evergreen Farmers' Market
Fall Ag Fair & Bench Show 2018 TBA
The Bench Show has also been part of the Ag Society annual events since the beginning. A Bench Show awards excellence in the Make it, Bake it, & Grow it categories. Art, photography, fruit, vegetables, baking, preserves, sewing, knitting, quilting, woodwork, hobbies and more are part of a fair event. The society has partnered with the Town of Drayton Valley Community Arts and Culture Groups to celebrate Alberta Culture Days the first weekend in October for the past 2 years, however the weather is often cold and crowds are thin. This years' event is to be determined. Tentative dates might be August 18 in conjunction with the Farmers Market and Open Farm Days. Drop your entries off early Saturday morning between 9:00-10:00 am. Pre-do your tags to make registration easier. Follow the book guidelines which will be available at the Evergreen Farmers Market Registration table in May and at the Library for a $2 fee. If you have an e-mail, follow the link and we will send you an e-copy of the book for your review. Cash awards are sponsored by a community grant and ribbons will be sponsored by the Ag Society. Community Volunteers will be needed on this day to assist with the entries and as judges helpers.
